Position Overview: Florida Power Management is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented in-office
Billing Coordinator to join our team. This role is integral to maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the daily operations of the business. As an in-office Billing Coordinator, you will handle accounting functions, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and provide essential support to the leadership team and our customers. In this role you will support with administrative responsibilities, bill payment and collections, month-end closings, client and customer interactions, etc.
The ideal candidate is experienced in bookkeeping, highly organized, and passionate about contributing to the growth of a renewable energy company. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Winter Garden, Florida.
Key Responsibilities: Finance and Accounting - Maintain accurate financial records with documentation, including Accounts Payable and Account Receivable.
- Maintain internal controls and safeguard for receipt of revenue, inventory, and operation costs.
- Review AP/AR Aging reports with Controller and prepare schedule payments, including checks, ACH, and cc payments.
- Prepare and send customer invoices, ensuring timely payment tracking and follow-ups.
- Maintain and update vendor records including W-9’s and tax information.
- Generate and send customer/client and third party (TPO) invoices.
- Recommendations on action items for delinquent accounts.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and provide analysis as needed.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of state and federal tax documents in compliance with applicable laws.
- Support office operations, including maintaining vendor relationships and processing expense reports
- Strong collaborator/communicator with the Finance Team and vendors
- Identify and implement process to enhance efficiency
- Adhere to SOP and company policies.
- Ad hoc financial and office responsibilities as needed
Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Billing Coordinator (AP/AR), preferably in the renewable energy or construction industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Steward of company standards and compliance.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Takes initiative in admin/office needs or tasks.
- Handles confidential information with integrity and care.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Bi-Lingual (Spanish) – strong preference.
Experience: - 2+ years of experience in AP/AR roles.
- Associates/Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
Compensation: - $20 -$25/hour based on experience
