Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our remote team. As a key player in driving strategic growth, you'll focus on identifying, pursuing, and nurturing new business opportunities within the travel industry. Your efforts will be essential in expanding our market presence, building valuable partnerships, and generating new revenue streams. In this role, you'll combine industry knowledge with exceptional communication skills to position us as a leader in luxury travel, while building long-lasting relationships and crafting innovative strategies to drive success.

Key Responsibilities

Market Research & Insights

Conduct detailed market research to uncover emerging trends, opportunities, and industry gaps.
Analyze competitors and market dynamics to develop strategies that enhance our competitive position.
Gather and apply insights from surveys and outreach efforts to understand client needs and preferences.

Surveys & Campaigns

Lead outbound outreach to advisors, uncovering actionable insights and opportunities for growth.
Plan and execute campaigns designed to expand market share, building loyalty and driving sales growth.

Lead Generation & Pipeline Development

Build and maintain a strong pipeline of new business opportunities through networking, industry events, and online platforms.
Actively pursue and engage potential clients to expand our reach and impact within the industry.

Client Relationship Management

Foster strong relationships with key clients by providing personalized solutions that meet their specific needs.
Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to promote sustained growth.
Offer product training to ensure client success and satisfaction.

Proposal Development & Presentation

Develop persuasive proposals and presentations that highlight our value proposition and meet client needs.
Collaborate with internal teams to craft tailored offerings and solutions.

Strategic Partnerships

Identify and form partnerships within the travel industry to enhance services and broaden market reach.
Support clients in achieving their sales goals through proactive engagement and business support.
Work with Sales and Strategic Account Managers to align on partnership strategies.

Sales Forecasting & Reporting

Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts, offering insights to the leadership team.
Prepare comprehensive reports that track business development progress, challenges, and achievements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with internal teams (Product Development, Technology, Operations) to streamline processes and enhance service delivery.
Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution.

Social Media & Networking

Utilize social media platforms creatively to engage clients and expand brand visibility.
Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and forums to strengthen market presence.

Professional Development & Product Knowledge

Stay informed about travel industry trends and competitor activities.
Maintain a deep understanding of our offerings to effectively communicate their value to clients.

Qualifications & Skills

Industry Experience

Minimum of 2 years in business development, sales, or a related field (travel industry experience preferred).
Strong professional network within the travel sector.

Technical Proficiency

Familiarity with Salesforce, Tableau, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Advanced data analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights.

Leadership & Collaboration

Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong negotiation and closing skills with a proven ability to manage challenges.

Client-Centric Expertise

Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships and trust with clients.
Ability to tailor solutions to client needs and communicate complex ideas clearly.

Time Management & Adaptability

Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible and open to embracing new tools and technologies.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
