About the Company:

Gaston and Wyatt is a 40-year-old company that manufactures and supplies luxury architectural millwork, casework, and other architectural products to Charlottesville and beyond. We have expanded into other markets across the country and are growing quickly.

Job Summary:

Our company seeks a Custom Woodworker / Cabinet Maker to join our team. Applicants should have at least six years of relevant experience. This position offers a rewarding, challenging job opportunity to build custom doors, panels, and cabinetry. You can work in a team-based environment with a great culture. • Created and organized cut lists for specific jobs to determine layouts and correct construction methods, materials, and parts.
• Perform woodworking tasks such as milling/shaping lumber, panel processing, ripping, crosscutting, sanding, all equipment/machinery functions, case construction, laminating, solid woodwork, door construction, veneer work, veneer matching, gluing, and pressing on both interior and exterior millwork.
• After proper instruction, use assembly machinery: chain and chisel mortising, sliding table saw, frame clamp, table saw, chop saws, and band saw.
• Understand curved work thoroughly, including proper joinery.
• Have a complete and thorough understanding of shaper set-up and running straight and radius items.
• Create fine traditional joineries such as mortise and tenon, lock miter, dovetail, and French miter, as well as more conventional joinery using dowels, pocket screws, and vacuum press bags.
• Hardware installation and reassembling of finished products.
• You will follow a project through to completion and be responsible for the job's schedule and quality. By producing high-quality work, you will set the finishing team up for success.

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in millwork, casework, or fine furniture construction
• Proficient at reading and working accurately from architectural drawings and shop drawings.
• Must be physically qualified to lift and carry 75 pounds and perform assigned tasks that require lifting, bending, stooping, and kneeling.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be dependable.
