Fort Walton Beach Medical Center is a 257 bed acute care facility on the beautiful Emerald Coast of the Florida Panhandle serving Okaloosa County and surrounding communities. The facility provides services in the area of cardiology, open heart surgery, stroke, wound care, Women and Children's Care Program, Pediatrics, Trauma, Behavioral Health and Rehabilitation Center
No Weekends!

Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the dietitian will be primarily responsible for providing nutrition care to patients in a wide variety of settings.
The Dietitian will report to the Clinical Nutrition Manager:
Provide inpatient nutritional care & medical nutrition therapy counseling for patients with varying medical diagnosis .
Possess the ability to creatively problem solve, work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions while working within a self-directed and team-oriented work environment
Have excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groups
Have strong time management and organizational skills

Minimum Education Requirement:
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:
Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Credentials Requirement:
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
