What you’ll be doing…

As a key member of Verizon's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team within the Responsible Business organization, the Marketing Communications Specialist will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing marketing communications strategies that highlight Verizon's commitment to Disaster Resilience. This role involves creating compelling narratives and impactful campaigns that resonate with key stakeholders and showcase Verizon's leadership in disaster preparedness, response and recovery.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning and Implementation: Develop comprehensive, multi-channel marketing communications plans to raise awareness and foster positive perceptions of Verizon's Disaster Resilience programs. This includes identifying target audiences, crafting compelling messaging, and selecting appropriate channels for maximum impact.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external program partners, and relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment, collaboration, and effective execution of marketing initiatives. This includes working closely with Verizon's communications, marketing, and state government affairs teams, as well as non-profit organizations, and community groups.

  • Agency Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for external advertising and creative agencies, providing clear direction, strategic guidance, and detailed briefs to ensure the development of high-quality, impactful creative assets that align with Verizon's brand and messaging guidelines.

  • Content Development and Execution: Oversee the creation and implementation of a wide range of marketing communications materials, including advertising campaigns, stories of impact, social media content, website articles, press releases, and thought leadership pieces. Ensure that all content is accurate, engaging, and consistent with Verizon's brand voice and messaging strategy.

  • Measurement and Reporting: Establish clear performance metrics and tracking mechanisms to measure the effectiveness of marketing communications initiatives. Regularly analyze and report on campaign results, providing insights and recommendations for optimization and improvement.

What we’re looking for…

You enjoy developing, designing, and implementing marketing strategies that highlight Verizon's role as a responsible business. You're adaptable, flexible, and able to influence internal teams.

You'll need to have:
