We are excited to invite passionate and dedicated Virtual Educational Interpreters to join our team for the upcoming school year! This is a unique opportunity to work remotely with elementary school students in Somerset, KY, helping them succeed academically and socially by providing high-quality ASL interpretation services.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpretation Services: Provide clear and accurate American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation for individual students (Grade 1 or Grade 2) during virtual classroom sessions.
Communication Support: Facilitate effective communication between teachers and students, ensuring the lesson material is understood by the student.
Academic and Social Interaction: Interpret both academic lessons and social interactions, helping students fully engage with their learning and peers.
Collaboration: Work closely with teachers and other educational staff to maintain smooth communication and track student progress.
Positive Environment: Create and maintain a supportive, professional, and encouraging virtual learning environment for students.

Position Requirements:

Licensure: Must hold ASL Educational Licensure and be licensed to work in Kentucky with a 3.5 EIPA certification.
Experience: Prior experience working with elementary school students is required, with a strong preference for those who have experience interpreting in virtual settings.
Virtual Experience: Must have previous experience in virtual interpreting, and be comfortable using online teaching platforms and tools.
Communication Skills: Strong ability to interpret accurately in a virtual classroom setting and effectively communicate with students and educators.
Passion for Education: A genuine passion for supporting student success through interpretation, helping every student feel seen and heard in their learning journey.
