Our Executive Support Professionals are highly respected because their skills are quite simply, essential. You would be a key member of a dynamic, fast-paced team that is responsible for tactical project management of small to large projects from blue sky to close out. This team regularly interfaces with creative, technical, engineering and construction disciplines in the delivery of show/ride design and systems throughout the life of the project.

This position reports to the Executive Project Management.

This is a Project Hire position without any guarantee of permanent placement.

What You Will Do:

There will always be expense reports, travel planning, endless calendar management, but this job is very much about people. The relationship you form with the executive you support is critical because that is what enables you to become a true partner. In addition to understanding your executive’s business and business needs, you will also need to develop a deep knowledge of the leadership and workings of WDI and of related departments across the Disney enterprise. Every day as an Executive Support Professional is different! On any given day you might:

  • Collaborate with colleagues across TWDC and Imagineering.
  • Manage a busy calendar on behalf of your executive.
  • Review your leader’s schedule to build-in time for things like thinking and traveling to their next meeting.
  • Create global, multi-city travel itineraries, taking into account time zones, weather delays, traffic, and fatigue levels.
  • Schedule conference rooms, meetings, and video chats.
  • Assist other team members with various administrative, departmental and office needs.
  • Interface directly with other senior executives and their support teams.
  • Manage very confidential, sensitive information.
  • Draft emails on behalf of your leaders, prep meeting/presentation materials.
  • Assist with on-boarding new employees.
  • Manage large purchase orders and vendor set up.
  • Plan your executive's involvement in large, high-profile events

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • At least 3 years of administrative experience supporting executives in a corporate environment.
  • Sharp written and verbal communication skills, including flawless grammar and a rich vocabulary.
  • Desire to immerse yourself fully and learn all aspects of your executive’s business.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines/deliverables.
  • Strong proficiency with all types of computers, phones, and office equipment, as well as mastery of Microsoft Office programs, SAP, Concur, and working in a Windows environment.
  • A calm head and steady hand to deal with the unexpected.
  • Resourceful, proactive, self-directed, solution oriented.
  • Skills to build bridges, forge alliances and encourage people to want to collaborate with you.
  • Complete reliability handling confidential, often extremely sensitive information.
  • Desire to truly be helpful to your leaders and co-workers, to go the extra mile without being asked.
  • Some flexibility in your schedule – we value work/life balance but help if travel support is needed out of office hours while executives are traveling.
  • Strong organizational skills and extreme attention to detail.
  • A highly professional demeanor, positive outlook, a can-do attitude and discretion.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bilingual with verbal and written fluency in Mandarin and English.
  • Experience at The Walt Disney Company and/or experience working in a large public corporation.
  • Experience working with Project Management teams and executives.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $53,300 to $71,300 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
