These internships require 30 hours per week during the summer. 

Are you a high school student interested in Business, Hotel Marketing, Restaurant Operations, or Human Resources? Ready to dive into the fast-paced world of Hospitality? This internship is a unique opportunity for rising Juniors and Seniors in Fairfax County Public Schools to gain hands-on experience, explore career paths, and build valuable professional skills in a dynamic industry.

Responsibilities and Duties:

During this internship, you will gain hands-on experience and develop essential skills that will set you up for success in the hospitality industry and beyond. 

• Business & Operations Insight: Learn how hotels, restaurants, and hospitality businesses operate behind the scenes.
• Marketing & Customer Engagement: Understand how branding, promotions, and guest experiences drive success in the industry.
• Human Resources & Talent Management: Explore hiring, training, and employee engagement strategies in a professional setting.
• Financial & Budgeting Skills: Gain exposure to payroll, budgeting, and financial planning for hospitality businesses.
• Technology & Industry Tools: Work with real-world systems used in hotel and restaurant management.
• Professional Development: Build communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while networking with industry professionals.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Clear and effective communication

• Capable of evaluating and interpreting data
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Completion/Enrollment in one or more of the following courses recommended:

• Any Marketing Course
• Business Management
• Entrepreneurship
• IB Business
