Night Shift Pressman - Printing - Base Salary to 36.00/hour - Richmond, VA

• Our client is seeking a Night Shift Lead Pressman to operate and maintain Komori or KBA sheet-fed offset printing presses in Richmond, VA. This is a hands-on role requiring technical expertise in running complex printing equipment. While this position does not involve supervising a team, it requires a high level of skill and problem-solving ability to ensure quality production with minimal downtime.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and maintain a Komori or KBA sheet-fed offset printing press.
• Perform adjustments for color, registration, and overall print quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or quality issues during production.
• Work closely with the Pressroom Manager on machine performance and maintenance.
• Assist in training new operators on proper machine operation and best practices.
• Maintain accurate logs of press activity, materials, and production data.
• Follow quality control, job documentation, and pressroom safety procedures.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure proper machine upkeep.

Qualifications:

• Experience operating Komori or KBA printing presses (required).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of press operations.
• Attention to detail – ensuring print quality meets company standards.
• Ability to work night shifts on a rotating schedule (2-2-3).
• Basic knowledge of press maintenance and repairs.

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 25.00 - 36.00/hour

• Hours are 7pm - 7am (2 on, 2 off; 3 on, 3 off)
