Job Description
nLogic is seeking a Materials and Process Engineer to perform activities related to the SLS Core Stage 2 through Core Stage 4 vehicles.
Position Responsibilities: - The supplier shall also perform the following activities in relation to the SLS Core Stage 2 through Core Stage 4 vehicles:
- Perform detailed NASA manned space requirement compliance assessments against M&P parts requirements in support of SLS Core Stage 2 through Core Stage 4 and vehicles.
- Lead 2219-T851 thick plate material test campaign to include defining material cut plan, coordinate with Boeing labs for machining and testing, and consolidate and analyze data to provide recommendations for material properties to be used in Core Stage stress reports.
- Lead waiver for technical rationale of the use of dry installation of fasteners to include execute test program and generate supporting technical rationale to allow for use of the vehicle in current configuration.
- Provide M&P engineering support, this includes engineering drawing review and approvals release, production facility support, subcontractor/supplier interface, requirements verification and the preparation of contract deliverables, and hardware anomaly resolution support.
- Review product engineering designs for compliance to NASA M&P requirements and provides recommendations and/or technical acceptance rationale when a requirement noncompliance is realized whether in the design, manufacturing, and/or test phase of the hardware lifecycle
- Incorporate changes to material and/or process specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of materials, parts and processes
- Lead and assist with performing tests to qualify new, materials, and processes to meet requirements
- Lead activities to support subcontractor deliverable verification, such as reviewing supplier processes, supporting regular supplier interface meetings, and review and approval of supplier contract deliverables (to include MIULs and MUAs)
- Leverage M&P expertise in manned space vehicles and NASA programs to lead waiver initiations to completion with strong customer collaboration for non-compliances to M&P requirements
- Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions within the M&P domain

Required Skills and Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or equivalent technical discipline
- You must be authorized to work in the US
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. This is a full-time position in Huntsville, AL. Work is required to be on-site in a secure facility
