Position Overview
- We are seeking an exceptional Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a dynamic and supportive team at a world-class academic medical center in Burlington, Vermont. In this role, you will be responsible for performing clinical and research nuclear medicine testing, therapeutic procedures, and contributing to the development of nuclear medicine services policies, procedures, and quality assurance measures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear medicine tests including general studies, cardiac studies, and relevant computer interactions.
- Administer therapeutic procedures and contribute to clinical instruction for nuclear medicine students and other personnel.
- Develop and contribute to policies, procedures, and quality assurance protocols for the Nuclear Medicine department.
- Work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that nuclear medicine services are delivered effectively and safely.
- Uphold high standards of patient care and regulatory compliance in all nuclear medicine practices.
Work Schedule
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, with rotating on-call coverage.
Call Coverage: Every 12 days, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Weekend Call: 24-hour call (7 AM Saturday to 7 AM Sunday)
Weeknight Call: 14-hour call (5 PM to 7 AM)
Call Pay & Overtime: Eligible for call pay, overtime, and shift differentials when called in.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an accredited program.
- Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine.
- Current state licensure as required.
- Previous experience in nuclear medicine procedures, cardiac studies, and research procedures is preferred.
