Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the instructor of record for the residential clinical component of the nursing course.
  • Mentor nursing students in clinical settings to achieve course objectives and enhance their practical skills.
  • Conduct pre-brief, residential experience, and debrief meetings with students as part of the instructional hours.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to the next generation of nurses.

General Adjunct Faculty Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate with students and staff, offering consistent feedback on student performance.
  • Be accessible to students for academic assistance via phone, email, or individual appointments.
  • Collaborate with the Dean and other faculty to address performance and student concerns promptly.
  • Maintain professionalism in communication, behavior, and appearance at all times.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a registered nurse.
  • Self-motivated and flexible, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to connect with students, leadership, and peers.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Must hold an active registered nurse license without any encumbrances.
  • Ability to provide official transcripts for each degree from an accredited institution before teaching.
  • Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Compliance with the college's faculty immunization policies, with appropriate documentation.
  • Must be able to commute to the Maumee, OH Campus
