Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Printer to join our team. As a Printer, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining printing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials for a local government office.

Duties:

• This is skilled lead worker involved with the planning, organizing and participating in offset, xerographic, ink-jet, flexographic, wide format digital printing services in a centralized printing operation.
• The Printer is expected to operate offset , xerographic, ink-jet, flexographic, wide format digital printing presses and bindery equipment .
• The work produced on these presses primarily consists of multi-color printing. Work on these presses involve exact color matching using color control bars and color inspection equipment on a regular basis for every job printed.
• Generally, this work has heavy ink coverage (frequent solid areas of ink and photos) and consistently requires exact ink color matching and registration. Such jobs would include brochures, newsletters, advertising mailers, labels, decals, stickers, banners, and posters.
• Work is reviewed by the Graphics Production Coordinator for accuracy and departmental requirements.
• Use Adobe Creative Suite to prepare artwork for printing
• Monitor print quality and make adjustments as needed
• Perform routine maintenance on printing equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

Requirements:

• Proven experience operating printing equipment
• Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality control checks
• Ability to read and interpret layout designs
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot printing issues
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
