Job Title: Psychology - CFS Professorial Social/Health Psychology Faculty, may be filled with visitor

Position Start Date: 1 August 2026

Required Degree: PhD in Psychology or related field.

The required degree must be completed by the start date.

Experience: The Brigham Young University (BYU) Department of Psychology invites applicants of any academic rank to fill a full-time (continuing faculty status) professorial-track position in the to begin Fall Semester 2026. We specifically seek applicants in Social or Social/Health Psychology. Our department values student mentoring, a collegial culture, and the ideals of open and reproducible research.

Duties/Expectations:

Well-qualified candidates will demonstrate strong research skills, a well-defined research agenda, and an established record of peer-reviewed publications and scholarly productivity that includes student mentoring. Successful candidates will also show commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring, including the ability to teach upper- and lower-level undergraduate and graduate classes. They will also be prepared to engage in citizenship responsibilities in the department, college, and university.

This position is for CFS-track, but it may also be filled with visiting faculty.
