In the CLS (Connected Living Solutions) Business Unit, our purpose is to make our homes safer, more sustainable, energy efficient and smart in a world where every connection truly counts. CLS has two sub-vertical BUs Home & Integrated Solutions (HIS) and Lighting & Precision Connections (LPC), which are focusing on home appliances and Lighting fields, leading innovation through our product portfolio of Power and Signal Interconnects, Terminals & Splices, Magnet Wire Terminations, Sensors, Circular Plastic Connectors, and Lighting, unleashes potential in every connection and with great power comes great sustainability, from Innovating Homes to Smart Cities

We are looking for Product Certification Expert to handle all the world-wide certifications (UL/CSA/VDE/TUV/IEC CB, etc.) for various product families in TE Connected Living Solutions Business Unit

Job Responsibilities

• Business Unit Point of Contact for product approvals certification activities globally.
• Shall act as a project manager being diligent, methodical, and organized in carrying out the agency approval activities.
• Coordinate with the testing certification agencies , track projects, lead them to a logical closure for all regulatory agency approvals activities for existing, modified, and new products.
• Monitor standards developed,review products and advise engineers to ensure product compliance.
• Establish and maintain reliable records on all aspect of the approval process.
• Resolve, follow-up, service and inspect variation notices from agencies including plant shutdowns.
• Conduct training sessions on agency requirements, standards to internal team.
• Support Sales team by answering  customer queries related to agency approvals in a timely manner.
• Ability to multi-task handling multiple projects and driving for project completion with multiple stakeholders is key for this role.
• Shall be subject matter expert and provide guidance to internal teams on the interpretation of cost saving activities.
• Cost down avoidance mindset and execute in actual product certification projects to achieve cost avoidance target.

Job Essential Skills and Knowledge

• In depth knowledge of regulatory compliance process pertaining to electrical safety products and standards on both components and end products are in priorities experience on standards UL1977CSA Std C222 No 1823 UL310CSA Std C222 No 153 ANSI C13641UL 773 UL 22372238 UL486 IEC 61984 IEC 60335 IEC 61210 would be preferre
• Strong understanding of engineering design practices product development lifecycles design change and technical specifications and ability to communicate effectively with engineering team
• Innovative thinking and continuous process improvement mindse
• Ability to recognize opportunities and propose practical solutions for improvement
• Good collaboration with global team member
• Good project program stakeholder and information management skill
• Good communication oral and written and presentation skill

• Years of Experience: 5+ years in Product Safety Certification Domain.
• Educational qualification: BE/BTECH Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $81,500k - 122,200k annually (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
