Job Description
Our client, a leading global eCommerce company, is seeking a Senior Copywriter for an onsite (NYC) freelance opportunity. The senior copywriter will support the global Communications team in crafting compelling content that informs, engages, and supports vendors and partners. The ideal candidate is a versatile storyteller who excels at developing clear, engaging content and copy across digital and print channels, including blog posts, go-to-market campaigns, and other marketing collateral. The senior copywriter has a strong ability to distill complex information while maintaining brand voice and tone and thrives in a fast-paced environment, consistently delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines. This is an ongoing freelance contract that is onsite in NYC. 40 hours weekly.
Key Responsibilities:- Write and edit high-quality blog posts, go-to-market campaigns, and other marketing, digital and print, content to engage key audiences.
- Develop clear, concise communications for various channels, including emails, newsletters, FAQs, talking points, and announcements.
- Adapt tone and messaging to suit different audiences within the brands community.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Partner with senior leadership on content development strategies.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines, editorial standards, and SEO best practices.
- Proofread and edit to maintain consistency and quality.
- Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
Requirements:- 5+ years of copywriting experience for eCommerce, tech, or communication industries.
- Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional storytelling, copywriting, and content development for eCommerce or retail brands.
- Ability to simplify complex topics into engaging, audience-friendly content.
- Expertise in writing for digital platforms, including blogs, emails, and marketing materials.
- Proficiency in SEO best practices and brand voice consistency.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment.
