**SAIC is seeking cleared (Secret) Strategic Communications Specialist to support a recently awarded NAVWAR contract, Project Overmatch** .
The Strategic Communications Specialist to serve as a liaison between organization and media representatives and community groups to support Project Overmatch in the San Diego, CA area. This role involves shaping and delivering impactful messaging and narratives to advance the strategic objectives of Project Overmatch. The ideal candidate will collaborate with senior leadership, craft compelling communication materials, and ensure consistent messaging across various channels. This is a recently awarded contract, funded for five years.
**Work is performed on site in San Diego, CA.**
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Strategic Messaging and Narrative Development:
+ Develop storylines, talking points, and messaging to effectively communicate strategic objectives and initiatives.
+ Align messaging with organizational goals and adapt to target audiences, including senior Navy and Joint leadership, coalition partners, and the public.
+ Content Creation and Distribution:
+ Draft and edit high-quality communication materials, including press releases, social media content, and internal/external announcements.
+ Manage the creation of multimedia content to support Project Overmatch's visibility and outreach efforts.
+ Engagement Preparation and Support:
+ Provide communication materials and briefings for leadership engagements, media interactions, and public events.
+ Coordinate and facilitate strategic communication activities, ensuring clear and consistent delivery of key messages.
+ Social Media and Public Affairs:
+ Develop and manage social media strategies to enhance Project Overmatch's presence and engagement with key stakeholders.
+ Collaborate with public affairs teams to promote transparency and build public trust in Project Overmatch initiatives.
+ Stakeholder Communication:
+ Maintain effective communication channels with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely dissemination of accurate information.
+ Monitor feedback and adjust messaging strategies to address emerging priorities or challenges.

**Qualifications**
**Required Education & Years Experience:**
+ Bachelor's degree in an English, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
+ Four (4) years of professional experience in strategic communications, public affairs, or a related field.
**Required Clearance:**
+ Active Secret Clearance.
+ Must be and eligible for upgrade to a Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
**Required Experience & Skills:**
+ Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
+ Proficiency in social media platforms and digital communication tools.
+ Strong understanding of Navy and DoD communication protocols and processes.
+ Knowledge of naval systems, sensors, and weapons.
+ Proficiency in DoD acquisition frameworks and processes.
+ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, particularly for senior audiences.
**Preferred Skills and Experience:**
+ Experience supporting an ACAT level program.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
