JOB OVERVIEW

• Job Title: Urologist.
• Job Type: Locum Tenens.
• Location: Williamsport, PA.
• Service Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient.
• Coverage Type: Clinical + Call.
• Coverage Period: 12/1/2025 – Ongoing.
• Clinical Shift Schedule: Clinic 7a – 5p (Weekdays only).
• On-Call Shift Schedule: 5p – 7a (Night Call); 7a – 7a (24hr Call).
• Call Type: In-House; Telephone.
• Call Ratio: 1:1
• Call Response Time: 30 minutes.

COVERAGE DATES:

• 1 weekend per month (12 weekends per year), Friday – Monday.
• 6 weekends per year must include extended coverage: Thurs–Sun or Fri–Mon.
• 1 week per year (provider choice).

PATIENT INFORMATION:

• Patient Demographics: Adults only (100%).
• Patient Volume/Census: 5–15 inpatient per day.
• Admissions: Avg. 5 per day.
• Rounding: Required on weekends.
• Phone Consults: Yes.
• Case Mix: Urology cases including cystoscopy, vasectomy, lithotripsy, stents, hydroceles.
• Avg. Consults: 5–8 per day.

• Facility: UPMC Williamsport Divine Providence.

• Trauma Level: Level II.
• EMR System: Cerner and Epic; Profee for inpatient billing.
• Specialty Backup Available: None, provider works solo.
• Support Staff: APPs available.
• Reason for Coverage: Other (vacancy/coverage need).
• No. of Beds in Department: 0 reported.

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE:

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes.
• Temporary Privileges Available: No.
• Credentialing Timeline: 60 days.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

• Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered (Mileage, Lodging, Parking, Rental Car & Fuel, Ground Transportation).
• Flights discouraged; local or driving candidates preferred.

• Cystoscopy
• Vasectomy
• Lithotripsy
• Stent placement
• Hydrocele procedures

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Licenses: Active Pennsylvania license (IMLC in hand accepted).
• Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology.
• DEA: Active DEA certification required.
• Certifications: BLS required (clinic); ACLS not required for hospital/OR work.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in specialty.
• Other Qualifications: Must be local within 3–3.5 hours driving distance.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide inpatient and outpatient urology care during clinic and call coverage.
• Perform required rounding, consults, admissions, and urologic procedures.
• Manage both scheduled clinic visits and emergency inpatient needs.
• Participate in one week of coverage per year in addition to monthly weekend coverage.
• Utilize Cerner and Epic EMR systems effectively.
