Job Description

As a Virtual Middle School Math Teacher, you will play a crucial role in helping students in grades 6-8 build a strong foundation in mathematics through engaging, interactive, and standards-aligned lessons. By creating an inspiring and supportive virtual classroom environment, you'll empower students to develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. You'll utilize a combination of live online lessons, interactive tools, and collaborative activities to make math both engaging and accessible to all learners.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach live, interactive math lessons to middle school students (grades 6-8) in a virtual classroom environment.
Develop and implement dynamic lesson plans that align with the South Carolina State Standards for Mathematics, ensuring that content is both engaging and educational.
Regularly assess and monitor student progress through assignments, quizzes, and assessments, offering timely and constructive feedback to encourage improvement and growth.
Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive virtual learning atmosphere that fosters student participation and collaboration.
Collaborate with colleagues during virtual staff meetings and contribute to school-related activities, maintaining a connection with the broader school community.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field.
A valid South Carolina teaching certification in Middle School Math (grades 6-8) or an equivalent certification.
Previous experience teaching middle school math, preferably in a virtual or online setting (preferred, but not required).
