Job Description



The Commercial Agent is responsible for coordination and timely delivery of finished goods by leveraging SAP to plan, track and manage outbound shipments. This role focuses on providing comprehensive support to the sales team and working as a liaison to supply chain, product specialist, production, trade compliance and freight forwarders to effectively monitor customer orders from production to delivery. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills along with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Essential functions ‐ Job duties to include but are not limited to:
  • Manage sales orders from production confirmation to site delivery
  • Plan and schedule outbound shipments and conduct site readiness
  • Consistent monitoring and thorough follow-up of deliverables to ensure timely delivery
  • Coordinate and book international and domestic freight with approved carriers.
  • Collaborate with sales, product specialists, operations, and supply chain to maintain accuracy of production timelines
  • Obtain documentation for export licenses and customs invoices
  • Apply for permits and obtain certificates of compliance
  • Ensure compliance with agreed incoterms
  • Troubleshoot and resolve delivery delays
  • Collaborate with service team to coordinate installation, decommission, disposal and/or returns
  • Update SAP with pertinent information related to delivery, billing and installation
  • Verify inventory availability and confirm plant allocation
  • Provide status updates to sales manager and customer regarding potential delays, discrepancies and issues. 
  • Generate and analyze open order and status reports
  • Position hybrid, reporting to Edgewood, MD

Qualifications



Required/Preferred:

Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years experience with shipping/logistics

Education Level: Associates or equivalent training preferred.
High School Degree and 2 years of related experience is required.
Equivalence achieved through comparative work and life experience is acceptable.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $44,320 - $99,840 per year. (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant and alignment with internal and market data.)
