Salary Range:
The expected salary for this position is between $155,000 and $175,000 per year, depending on skills, experience, and location.
Overview:
Join our dynamic and collaborative remote team as an experienced Product Transformation Manager, supporting a federal client. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in developing, driving, and facilitating product transformation initiatives, ensuring the successful adoption and implementation of the organization's transition from project-based practices to product-based methodologies.
Responsibilities:
Core Product Management Experience:
- Product Lifecycle Management: Successfully manage products through their entire lifecycle, from ideation to retirement, demonstrating a track record of effective product launches and iterations.
- Roadmap Development: Create and manage a product roadmap that aligns with strategic goals and stakeholder expectations.
- Market Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscapes to inform product strategy.
- Requirements Gathering: Skillfully gather, define, and prioritize product requirements, translating business needs into clear, actionable product features.
Strategic & Analytical Skills:
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics to inform product decisions, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and optimize product performance.
- Stakeholder Management: Foster strong relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including customers, developers, and executives.
- Strategic Thinking: Develop and execute product strategies that align with the overall business strategy.
Agile & Lean Product Management:
- Agile Methodologies: Have hands-on experience with Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) for product development, including backlog management and sprint planning.
- Lean Principles: Familiarity with Lean product management practices that emphasize delivering value efficiently while minimizing waste.
User-Centered Design:
- Customer-Centric Approach: Maintain a proven track record of incorporating customer feedback into product design and development, ensuring products meet user needs.
- User Experience (UX) Design Collaboration: Work closely with UX/UI teams to design and deliver intuitive and engaging user experiences.
Communication & Leadership:
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and support.
- Clear Communication: Exhibit strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate product vision, strategy, and updates to diverse audiences.
- Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor junior product managers or lead product teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Technical Acumen:
- Technical Understanding: Possess a solid understanding of the technical aspects of product development, including familiarity with software development processes, APIs, and platform architectures.
- Tool Proficiency: Be proficient in product management tools (e.g., GitHub) for managing roadmaps, backlogs, and product documentation.
Adaptability & Continuous Learning:
- Adaptability: Demonstrate an ability to adapt to changing market conditions, business priorities, and emerging technologies.
- Continuous Learning: Show a commitment to staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in product management.
- Understanding of Agile practices and techniques.
- Strong grasp of product management methodologies and best practices.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Desired Skillset:
- Product Management certification is a plus.
- Experience with enterprise Agile implementations is a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business field of study.
Clearance Requirement:
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain one.
