Description Our Lamar headqarters in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is looking for a new Real Estate Coodinator in the Corporate Real Estate department. The Real Estate Coordinator provides support to the corporate department and local offices by assisting with real estate transactions involving leasing, contract, administrative, accounting, and tax functions.

What We're Looking For In You - Work requires an excellent command of the English language.
- Must be proficient with computer software such as Microsoft Office, database, and presentation software.
- Must have knowledge of office administrative procedures and knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment at a level generally acquired through 2+ years related experience.
- Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
- Strong analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work.
- Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
Education And Experience - High School diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2 years of computer software (e.g. Microsoft Office, database, and presentation) use required
- 2 years in an office setting preferred
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience (i.e. a college degree in lieu of 2 years of software use experience)
A Day In The Life - Provide administrative support
- Organize and prioritize large volumes of information and phone calls, responding on a daily basis via phone and email.
- Perform general clerical duties including, but not limited to, bookkeeping, copying, faxing, mailing, and filing.
- Create and modify documents such as memos, letters, reports, and financial statements using word processing, spreadsheets, database, and other presentation software.
- Apply general AP (Accounts Payable)/AR (Accounts Receivable) practices to code and process incoming and outgoing payments.
- Work independently and/or within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects.
- Troubleshoot problems as they arise.
- Provide weekly/monthly/annual reports in all sections below.
Facility Lease Administration
- Abstract lease agreements, set up new/maintain existing electronic lease files.
- Track critical lease dates (i.e. expiration, rate increases, termination/renewal notices).
- Administer all AP/AR processes for facility leases per the terms of facility lease agreements.
- Prepare and track monthly and annual lease budgets.
- Routinely audit facility lease files to confirm accurate file management and accounting.
- Communicate with local management, landlords, and real estate agents as needed.
- Provide weekly updates on open renewals.
Tenant Contract Administration
- Set up new tenant leases in system to generate billing.
- Process receivables as received from tenants.
- Assist local management to ensure billing is set up correctly and provide assistance when necessary.
- Track monthly invoices, collections, and payments to identify past due invoices and bad debts
- Audit ATB (Aged Trial Balance) monthly to ensure payments are being received and coded correctly.
- Review monthly collections and identify past due invoices and bad debts
Real Estate Purchases and Sales
- Obtain and research information to evaluate incoming property transaction requests from local management.
- Effectively communicate Corporate Real Estate procedures and guidelines to local management.
- Track approved property transactions, and coordinate all required due diligence items to ensure proper and timely closings
- Routinely audit owned property files to ensure accurate file management and accounting.
Real Estate Taxes
- Receive, review, process, and track incoming real estate tax invoices.
- Routinely audit owned property files to ensure the proper and timely payment of all real estate tax liabilities.
Physical Demands and Work Environment - The primary work environment is an office.
- The physical demands for this position include light lifting, seeing (with a focus on reading), sitting more than 50% of the time, talking, and walking.
- Nights spent traveling, away from home, are less than 10%.
